デバイス・ドライバがRed Hat Linuxとの互換性が高いことなどが特徴。

Berry Linuxは無償で配布されているが，東京フォレックス・フィナンシャルが
販売する有償版には，メールによる1回ぶんの問い合わせサービスと，沖データ
MICROLINEプリンタ用設定ファイルが付属する。東京税別1980円という価格は
「パッケージ販売されているLinuxとしては最も安価」（東京フォレックス・
フィナンシャル）という。

rm を実行するだけでは、使用していた i ノードが解放されるだけで
データ自体は消去されない。
データを完全に消去するには以下のような作業が必要。

dd コマンドでの上書き

dd if=/dev/urandom of=/dev/hda

GNU shred の利用
ディスクの完全消去には、GNU fileutils に含まれる shred を使う

shred は Peter Gutmann 氏提唱の、磁気的に復元を困難にする手法

  shred /dev/hda

shred はディスク全体を消去するだけでなく，ファイルに対しても使用できる．
"--remove" オプションを指定すると，shred をかけた後で削除してくれるので，
そのファイルを復元不能にすることができる．

- Full system emulation:
  - x86上で結構高速にx86マシンをエミュレートする。
    VMwareみたいなもの。
  - Bochsに替わる存在? ネットワークエミュレーション、
    Bochs由来のVGABIOS搭載。

- Usermode Emulation:
  - いろんなCPUで、x86-Linuxのバイナリを実行できる。
  - WineとDOSEMUの実行が主な目的。
